Music has an incredible effect on our brain. The relationship between music and our emotions is well studied and documented. Music is known to stimulate every part of our brain and its effects on our body are quite tangible. Also, research says, it is not important that we understand every note and lyrics of the musical-piece. The feeling music can spark in our brain has nothing to do with us understanding what we hear. That is the power of music. Everyone has a keen sense to music. Although, all of us cannot sing, we still react to music, in our own unique way. The way we react to music is quite visible in our behavior too. It is reflective in our actions when we hear any kind of music. Some hum along while others nod to the beats as if to approve that they are enjoying what they are hearing. Some of us get emotional and shed a tear or two too. Whatever it is, music has the ability to keep us rapt and it can totally consume us. This effect of music is no different in other species too, especially dogs.
Dogs have shown to have an ear for music and they have their own adorable way of appreciating and basking in music. For instance, every time Jessie the dog, hears his owner play the accordion, he reacts in the most fitting way possible. He yodels. If this is surprising, you will be all the more amazed to know that he does a great job too. Every time the boy plays the accordion, keep your eyes on the dog. The minute he stops playing, the dog too stops yodeling. We bet you would have not seen a more orchestrated performance of a dog and a human ever before. Jessie showing off her yodeling skills to the world in this heart-warming video is nothing less than enthralling. Now, only if we could interpret her yodel, it would be just about perfect. Watching this video will only make you wish that you too had a dog that could yodel and of course make you want to learn to play the accordion.
This video is enough proof to show dogs have a sense of music. Some of you may find this silly, but it is going to give you a good laugh. Now, who doesn’t love a dog that is no bark and all yodel?
