When kids meet their new brother or sister for the first time, it is always an exciting moment. The apprehension of how they are going to react and what they are going to tell fills the atmosphere. When Cher and Stephen Lair, parents of six boys, brought home their new born which was a girl child, the Lair brothers were all exuberant. The brothers were pouring all their love on the sweet angel and wanted to hold and cuddle her. Even the two year old Knox is excited to find a new play partner.
Jackson the eldest of the Lair brothers is excited at the prospect of growing up with a girl. ‘She’s so small. I didn’t even think babies were this little. I just don’t know how is it going to be…I mean I’ve grown up with boys like six times over and over again…it’s going to be a new experience for me’ says the doting elder brother about this tiny angel.
Then comes along the four year old Shepherd who is not very expressive but sums it all up in a single sentence “This is Ruby and I love her and she’s cuter than I thought she would be.” Knox, the two-year-old toddler plants a wet kiss and his adorable eyes say it all for the tiny man who is obviously in awe of his baby sister. He is though busy identifying Ruby’s mouth and eyes. Campbell is a ten year old and is in two-minds about the feeling of growing up with a sister. Obviously protective of Ruby he says that when Ruby grows up enough to have boyfriends, the guy will have to go through six brothers before he can take her on a date. Sawyer, the seven year old is someone the bad guys should really watch out for as he has all intention of joining the police force and putting away the goons for at least 1,000 years. Houston is entirely freaking out because he’s worried that Ruby might pick up the paint brush and paint the entire house pink. When asked why doesn’t he likes pink, he answers “I don’t like pink because it’s a girl’s color.” Al the while Ruby is contently purring in the arms of her brothers, who obviously think she’s as precious as a ruby stone.
